Obtainable as a 5
While his potential was unknown at launch, Xainfried rose into the spotlight with Lance updates and the release of High Brunhilda. Not only is the Dragon Guardian an essential burn-immune teammate-- keeping the party alive with his HP Co-Ability-- but also a solid all-around Adventurer with generous support capabilities. Thanks to the long range of the Lance, he can stand back a safe distance yet enjoys the mobility of lunging Force Strikes. This, along with the huge AoE of Dragon Frostfang, make him an okay pick even for Flame IO.
Xainfried’s damage is relatively weak, but he makes up for it with Guardian’s Fury and adequate survivability.
Xainfried hits bosses hard during Break, with Dragon’s Claws giving a well-timed Strength boost and extra Shapeshift Time extending the throw-down.
Essential for High Brunhilda
Players shooting for endgame content have a solid pick in Xainfried, whose HP Up Co-Ability is key for surviving the HP check. Being a native 5★ Lance ensures that he can upgrade this to maximum potential.
Xainfried’s own lance doesn’t hit for much, so a lot of his damage will be dealt through Shapeshifting, Dragon Frostfang, and Guardian’s Fury.
Extra Dragon Dependent
Players without Leviathan or Poseidon my not get the most out of Xainfried, who lives to capitalize on Dragon time.
- Leviathan is the king of damage and Strength.
- Poseidon is almost tailor-made to Xainfried with the split boost; his balanced applications can really shine with 20-30% HP and Strength.
- Vodyanoy still hits hard while Shapeshifting.
Budget option: Ironside Lance
*While Ocean Lord at first seems a bad choice with its recovery Skill, those building for High Brunhilda will want the extra heal to supplement Thaniel’s support.
