Pyrotechnician Su Fang is the freebie Adventurer of Dragalia’s Skyborne Spectacle event. Sporting the slightly novel Wind and Dagger combo, he’s a decent upgrade over Francesca with unconditional +20% Skill Damage and a self-buff for Strength. Aside from these rarity upgrades however, he’s got the weaknesses typical of Raid allies: a situational Bane Ability, and only 50% Res against a single Affliction. Su Fang still proves a reliable and evasive attacker against Valfarre, but in an element saturated with powerful melee attackers, he may find himself on the bench.
An Abilty-boosted, 2462 SP attack Skill is nothing to scoff at, and Su Fang has the Strength stat to make good use of it.
Access to Stun
Although it’s a thin promise, Gale Slice “may inflict Stun” if enhanced with Crackling Pyroblossom. This is a bit disappointing for Mercury, who is immune to Stun, but the boss of Water IO and other enemies will be crippled by it.
Partial Bog Res
Losing the mobility advantage typical of Dagger users means Su Fang becomes a sitting duck with Bog. Equipping a Bog Res Wyrmprint such as Dragon Dance is also a wasted opportunity for stronger equipment.
Zephyr and Roc are reliable picks for raw Strength.
High Midgardsormr provides higher survivability without sacrificing DPS.
Tsumuji and Midgardsormr are usable budget options.
Budget option: Dreamer's Greatsword
