Known for sending fiend corpses as gifts, one might say Rodrigo is...unskilled at expressing appreciation. This misunderstood man just wants his feelings heard, but unfortunately, no one can quite seem to grasp what those are.

Obtainable as a 3
While some people might not appreciate a stack of dead foes as a gift, most players would be pleased to have Rodrigo pile the corpses of their foes at their door. While his kit might not be overly exciting, Rodrigo has all the right tools to be an excellent starting point for a Shadow team. His two damage abilities and HP 70% > STR conditional allow Rodrigo to be one of the budget picks for a Shadow team, though he can easily be replaced by other free units such as Alex or Boton.
While Rodrigo doesn't offer anything flashy, he has a basic kit that can dish out excellent damage and has the benefit of being a sword with good Force Strikes.
Lack of Options
As a 3★, Rodrigo is very easy to replace. He also offers no utility, so players should be cautious before investing heavily in him.
- Shinobi: The supreme DPS choice for Shadow adventurers, and relatively easy to obtain compared to his primary competition Marishiten due to being a non-limited unit.
- Juggernaut: A good budget option to pair with Rodrigo that doesn't require a great deal of investment.
- Marishiten: While not quite as good as Shinobi, Marishiten comes very close, and if you have her she's still an excellent choice.
Abyssbringer: Coming from Void Jeanne, this shadow sword is a great option that is easier to acquire.
Dáinsleif: The ultimate Shadow Sword, it's the best choice in all content, but is hard to craft.
Dark Dementia: A pure budget choice that is a great stopgap until you can make something better.
The Shining Overlord is hands down the best sword print, and Stellar Show amplifies Sword adventurers ability to use Force Strikes to break bosses quickly. If you lack those, Skill Damage and Force Strike bonuses are what Rodrigo prefers.
