Character Stats
Overview
Nefaria, Queen of the Sands is a 5* Shadow bow user who excels at dealing damage which combined with her support abilities, make her a sought-after teammate. Her capacity to Blind enemies can make battles much easier while increasing her damage at the same time.
Her main weakness lies in her Force Strike, which comes out slowly and can be tricky to execute. This is a problem for Nefaria, since she relies on inflicting Blind on foes to maximise her damage and support capability. Overall, she is an exceptional adventurer who boasts high damage, a great weapon type, and useful team support abilities.
Strengths
Inflicts heavy damage
Nefaria’s primary role in fights is to provide high damage. She has a strong Skill in Night of Antiquity, and can also use Twilight Oblivion to deal extra damage with Force Strikes. Nefaria deals bonus damage to blinded enemies and when upgraded, her Night of Antiquity skill will also deal extra damage to blinded foes.
Packs useful support skills
Nefaria can reliably inflict the Blind status which makes enemy attacks miss at a high rate and allows her to support all teammates from afar. She also has a fantastic co-ability in Skill Haste, which accelerates the SP gain of all allies by a considerable amount. This translates into more damage and healing from teammates.
Uses a great ranged weapon
Being a Bow user, Nefaria can output damage from a significant distance. Her Night of Antiquity Skill also has a long range. Although she has no real defensive merits (aside from Blind), clever positioning will let Nefaria survive for a long time.
Weaknesses
Very reliant on foes being blinded
With a few of her Skills only relevant to blinded enemies, Nefaria finds herself always needing to keep Blind up on her foes. The first problem with this is that her Focus Strike can be unwieldy and hard to use in fights. To get Blinds off, she’ll need to have an intimate knowledge of boss patterns. Nefaria’s second problem is that Night of Antiquity’s upgrade makes it remove Blind from enemies. On bosses that jump around erratically or have a lot of movement, it can be hard to re-apply Blind. Finally, some bosses are immune to Blind. Nefaria players will need a certain measure of skill to reach her full potential.
Dragon Recommendations
Nidhogg: Nidhogg is generally the best choice for Nefaria thanks to the significant boost he provides to her HP and Attack. This allows her to survive for longer in tough battles. His ability to inflict Blindness is something Nefaria can take advantage off once her shapeshift has worn off.
Juggernaut: Provides Nefaria with the biggest raw attack boost, but lacks the Blind that Nidhogg provides. It is a great choice if there are multiple Nefarias or a healer on the team.
Zodiark: The weakest choice, but thanks to his status as a story dragon, it is easy for any player to obtain multiple copies of in order to fully unbind. He provides the same offensive boost as Silke, but is directly inferior to her.
Weapon Recommendations
Necro Arcus (5* Dark Bow): Easily the strongest bow Nefaria can wield, it also comes with a offensive Skill to raise her damage output.
Macabre Malediction (4* Dark Bow): The healing effect is useful when playing without a healer, and it gives her a substantial boost to her max HP. It’s better than the 3* Bow due to its increased Strength.
Cimmerian Bow (3* Dark Bow): This Bow gives a large but brief Strength boost, which is perfect for abusing Break phases during boss fights. With proper healing available this Bow is superior to the Macabre Malediction.
Wyrmprint Recommendations
Damage Boosters: Levin’s Champion, Valiant Crown, Lord of the Skies, Flower in the Fray, and Howling Predator are some of the best for Nefaria, giving her a nice damage boost.
Burst Damage: Worthy Rivals, Luca’s Prank, Sniper’s Allure, One with The Shadows and Scorn the Destrier are great for Burst damage setups.
