Overview

The Hero King himself makes an entrance in the Fire Emblem: Lost Heroes Showcase. To declare his kit overloaded is a gross understatement; Marth packs everything from Crit to self-sustain to party support. His Skill Shift stands above all others for two reasons: Phase I has an actual effect, and Phase III is the only skill in the game to increase the entire team's  attack speed. Perhaps most notable is his ability to immediately fill his team’s skill gauges after High Midgardsormr’s opening blast, whom Marth seems designed to destroy.

Strengths

Unrivaled Offensive Support

Fire Emblem boasts higher uptime than even Sarisse’s Cheerful Assist and solid consistency compared to Sinoa’s Custom Concoction. Increases to attack speed are rare, and Marth is able to bestow them to his allies and thereby increase both their DPS and SP gains. Phase III in particular meshes well with Mikoto, who appreciates the help with Stance cycling.

Sword User

Swords top the charts in both DPS and Overdrive DPS, making Marth an offensive powerhouse. Quick SP gains ensure that Skill Shift remains active at all times.

Built for High Midgardsormr's Trial

While there's no shortage of characters who can take on the Windwyrm, Stun immunity immediately places Marth in a prime position to lead HMS teams. Last Boost also procs almost immediately, effectively granting his entire team 100% Skill Prep after Calamitous Storm.

Weaknesses

Short Reach

Like all Sword users, Marth lacks range and has relatively low mobility. These factors are exacerbated by his abysmal HP pool, placing a higher emphasis on positioning.

Dragon Recommendations

  • Cerberus and Agni are the ideal picks for their massive 40/60% STR boost.
  • Ifrit is an accessible budget pick for its 4★ rarity.
  • Pele or Brunhilda serve as viable F2P options.

Weapon Recommendations

Budget option: Blade of Glory

Wyrmprint Recommendations

Skill picks: Heralds of Hinomoto, Jewels of the Sun, The Shining Overlord
