Obtainable as a 5
After starring in Granblue Fantasy, Shadowverse, and the Levin’s Champion Wyrmprint, Albert finally rolls into Dragalia Lost as a powerful 5★ Adventurer. With devastating Force Strikes, high Paralysis uptime, and Electrification, he’s a force to be reckoned with.
Notes about Thunderous Impulse
Albert comes with an unusual Skill which recharges gradually over the course of 40 seconds. While the guaranteed SP gain is reassuring, it makes for a strict rhythm of downtime. Regeneration doesn’t start again until the 15-20 seconds are up, meaning Albert is Electrified for about a third of the battle. Still, when the buff provides another 25% Strength, inflicts Paralysis, and enhances Lightning Burst, it’s a potent bonus.
Devastating Force Strikes
Swords already top the charts for both DPS and Overdrive DPS. When enhanced by 50%, Albert’s Force Strikes place him in a league of his own, as they are effortlessly woven in between basic attacks.
Both Zodiark and the Shadow IO boss are susceptible to Paralysis, making Albert viable in most Shadow content. Unlike previous adventurers whose status applications are on a charge system, Albert’s Paralysis is present throughout a timed period. This means that Albert can freely attack without having to stagger his Force Strikes if targets are already afflicted.
As with all Sword users, Albert’s power comes at the cost of range and mobility, making him best suited for single targets.
Thunderous Impulse fills by timed regen rather than attacks, meaning Albert’s power spikes are independent of the naturally high SP gains of Sword users.
- Cupid and Lindworm are the standard staples for raw STR.
- Gilgamesh, Liger, and Halloween Silke provide both power and survivability.
- Hinata, Astral Imp, and Jupiter are workable budget options.
Budget Option: Blade of Glory
The Shining Overlord and Stellar Show are designed to drain Overdrive gauges as quickly as possible. Levin's Champion can replace Stellar Show for improved overall DPS.
The Chocolatiers has a niche use for maximum burst damage and is best used during time-sensitive events like raid bosses.
